Trisha Metzger

Dr. Metzger is a native of Wisconsin, originally growing up in Brown Deer, outside of Milwaukee.  She attended UW Madison in the wildlife ecology program and graduated from the UW School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002.  Most of her career was spent practicing on the East coast in northern Virginia, but she is thrilled to have returned to the Madison area in 2021.  

For the past year, Dr. Metzger has practiced at numerous local veterinary clinics, serving as a relief veterinarian to clinics in need of help.  Over time, the amazing team at Countryside Animal Clinic tugged on her heart strings enough that she knew she needed to make this special clinic her forever work home in September 2024.  She is very excited to be able to offer more consistent care to her clients and patients in this capacity.

Dr. Metzger's passion is comprehensive preventative care, internal medicine, and feline medicine.  However, she also really enjoys surgery and dental procedures and treating canine companions as well.  Her furry family members include 2 cats (Reuben and Manny), three guinea pigs (Parsley, Sesame, & Ginger), and 2 gerbils (Soot & Smudge).  She looks forward to meeting you and your spoiled furry family members soon.
